Digital Photography Forum
Dear readers,
As some of you may know, Illustrated Photography is a fairly new site. We had our public launch just over a year ago.
In that time, we, the editorial team has been astounded by the growth of our site.
It has gone from humble beginnings, to the point where we now get more visitors a day than we used to in a whole month!
But as the site has developed beyond it's original scope, we have seen the need to update the layout and the style in which the site operates.
For instance, we have had complaints from readers who found the registration process complicated and others who could not work out how to post in the forums.
Rather than improve these functions little by little, we have decided to celebrate our first birthday with a complete site makeover.
That's right, Illustrated Photography is getting a facelift and we are working around the clock to have it ready early in the new year.
Until then, we have decided to suspend the competition and the monthly articles in order to help us have the new site ready as quickly as possible.
This does not mean that the site will be any less functional than normal. You can still visit and still upload your pictures. You can even still enter the competition, but there will be no new content posted and no winner announced until the new site is finished.
The editorial team will, however, from time to time still drop in to the forums to answer your questions and just generally chat about photography.
Hope you all look forward to the relaunch as much as we do.
Happy Snapping,
Ed Sutton

Illustrated Photography.

How things are developing
Just thought I'd post a quick update on how things are developing.
We here at Illustrated Photography are very excited about the new layout and features and everything seems to be falling into place nicely.
One of the key features of the new site will be the ease with which users can upload pictures to their albums.
We are also trying to make it a bit easier to interact with forums, so posting messages and pictures there should be simpler.
Finally, we want to make the site more community orientated. Illustrated Photography is about you, it's about your photography and how you see the world and we want to put you at the center of our new site.
If you have any ideas about what we can do to make the new site better, we'd love to hear it.
Happy Snapping.

Yippeee!
After a long and break, our engineers have finally started work on the new interface again.
I am as excited as a kid at Christmas.
The new sight is looking great, the design is much cleaner and the features much easier to use.
We are hoping to complete it very soon and then you can all play with it!
