Hello there....just thought Id let ya know Im still alive. Between babysitting granddaughter, the 2nd loss of my hubby's job and computer problems, I have been a bit "stressed". Im looking forward to spring...always brings a fresh outlook for me and my camera.
How are things going with u and your wife? Hows the new job?

Hello there!! I know you
Hello there!!
I know you where asking for ed, but you got me instead :)
Sorry to hear about your inconveniences, I guess we have all been a little off track lately. I know things will get better for you soon.
We don't have spring here, but the rainy season is going away and we are getting the sun now, its been really cold for me, I spoke with ed about it and it doesn't compare, here we go at most to 18 Celsius no snow what so ever, but hey, this is the tropic, we are not supposed to be so cold!
Keep us posted with your photos, I will be posting some of mine and I promise that I will be more in touch.
Regards,
Felipe

Welcome back
Hi Vicki and Felipe!
Good to see you guys back in the forum.
Life has been a bit hectic here as I am sort of working two jobs, one my regular as a photographer and the other as a part-time journalist, so have been very busy.
Also been working very hard on the relaunch of the website. I bet you will really like the new features I have planned for you.
I'm sorry to hear about all the turmoil in your life Vicki, and for that matter, yours Felipe. Isn't it strange how bad things always seem to happen to good people?
The 'credit crunch' has really hit here in England too, my company has cut almost half of our team. At the moment I am still on their books, but if things don't start picking up soon they will have to make even more cuts.
As far as the weather is concerned, London is pestered by the most changeable weather in the world during spring, and from one moment to the next you don't know what is going to hit.
That does make for very nice landscape pictures, though, and I am planning on taking my camera out for a spin in the country side soon, because the first few hours after the rain makes for spectacular pictures!
Anyway, my advice is, get your mind off all the troubles and get out there and create something beautiful.
oops
That last post was me. :o)

Out of trouble it is, we
Out of trouble it is, we are in season for orquids and I have a great 'Guaria Morada' in my backyard, this is our national flower too.
This photo was really hard to get, the flower is in a very windy and far away area, but I think it cae out fine :)
Part time Journalist? This means you did fine in the test?

Nice shot
Nice shot, Felipe, I especially like the soft contrast of colors between the blue sky and the orchird. The low angle of view really works here.
About the test, no, that's not out of the way yet, but they are allowing me to practice as long as I can show I am working on it.
Just to keep you guys posted, things at the site will start happening again after Easter, I promise.
Ed & Felipe, Im glad
